For the 15th ICEMLNI, accommodation is not included in the conference fees, the organisers can only make recommendations and provide advice to individual in-person attendees to make their own bookings at a variety of price points. Below is a guide to your options near the Australian National University.
Self-Catered Options/Rental Apartments
ANU Apartments (Judith Wright)
The Judith Wright apartments are available for you to book directly. These 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments are furnished and self-catered (with small kitchens and laundry facilities). These are also the closest options to the College of Asia and the Pacific (CAP), being located just across the street. However, these apartments are a bit further away from the city centre, though you can get a bus or taxi/rideshare easily.
Hotels
ANU is located on the edge of Canberra’s CBD (also called Civic). There are many hotels within easy walking distance to the conference venue. These options will place you closer to the centre of town if you would like to be closer to restaurants, cafes, and shopping, in addition to the Light Rail and Bus systems for trips to museums and attractions further afield. Canberra does not have a thriving budget hotel/hostel scene as we are usually not on the map for most backpackers, but we have strived to suggest options at many price points with some generally indicative prices (in Australian Dollars) that should give you a rough guide to making your bookings.
